Website Sitemap & Search Strategy
Move your business forward with a solid plan for your new website that preserves your search footprint
You know your studio needs a new website.
Maybe you decided to DIY it the first time around. Maybe it’s just been a few years, and it’s just time to refresh.
Or maybe you just decided to live with the website that fancy agency you hired created because they charged you a fortune and you can’t afford to go back to square one.
Whatever the reason — it’s time for a change.
You want something that doesn’t look generic, reflects your brand personality and helps convert.
The problem? Your search engine ranking.
Your fitness or wellness business relies on search traffic for lead generation, so the idea of putting that in jeopardy is scary.
Because even if the new website looks incredible that beautiful site could do your business real harm. You need a site that uses keywords intentionally, includes pages for your services and doesn’t have broken links or other issues.
Why Does SEO Matter?
You know your website should be SEO optimized and that you want it to rank well, but has anyone ever explained why it’s so important?
Simply put: in industries that are highly competitive — like fitness and wellness —people are looking for options, and your goal is for them to find you quickly and easily.
SEO makes that possible. And that’s why you don’t want to scrap that website completely and start totally fresh.
Consider these common keywords and the number of searches done each month:
Yoga studio near me: 74,000
Pilates class near me: 27,100
Group fitness class near me: 33,100
Cryotherapy near me: 49,500
Medspa near me: 90,500
Infrared sauna near me: 22,300
If your current website was launched with SEO in mind, you’re already capturing some of that volume. So your goal for your update or redesign should be to capture even MORE.
That starts with having a solid search strategy before you even begin.
The Best of Both Worlds
When hiring a website designer, it’s fairly common for studio owners and wellness professionals to feel like their options are limited.
You can hire a marketing agency that’s focused on SEO.
OR
You can hire a talented designer with expertise in creating a beautiful client experience.
But what you really want is BOTH.
You want someone who understands the ins and outs of SEO and can also create a memorable design that reflects your brand. Even better if this magical unicorn is someone who knows the fitness and wellness industries and their specific needs.
Luckily, Pixality Design is here to offer you the best of both worlds.
Sitemap and Search Strategy Package
$1,800
A website redesign is a great time to take stock of what’s working well with your current site AND identify new opportunities. By kicking your redesign project off with a sitemap and search strategy, you’ll know exactly how to make your new site the powerful marketing tool it should be.
What’s Included in the Sitemap and Search Strategy:
Research to determine search queries and pages that are currently bringing qualified traffic to your website.
Competitor and keyword research to identify new search term opportunities relevant to your current or future services.
Sitemap plan for the new website including all SEO-relevant hidden service pages, not included in the main navigation.
Page titles and meta descriptions for all main navigation and service pages, mapped to keyword goals.
Recommended URL redirect file for those pages that will not be migrated (avoid inadvertently broken links).
Please note: This service is focused on the main pages of your website — the ones that lead to your in person services. It is NOT a content marketing plan/blog ideation SEO service.
Every Great Website Redesign Starts with a Plan
Good relationships are built on trust and transparency. That’s why I want my clients to know exactly what to expect before we start working together.
How it works:
-
You’ll receive a contract and invoice via email. Once payment is complete, you’ll be asked to fill out an intake form that will give me all the info I need to complete the initial research phase for your project.
-
Once your questionnaire is complete, we’ll get to work reviewing your current website’s performance, researching your competitors, compiling a target keyword list and creating a draft of your new sitemap plan. This will be completed within two weeks of purchase.
-
Once the research is complete, we’ll meet for a review call to prioritize your keywords and discuss your ideal customer flow, ensuring we create a website plan that is not only optimized for search but is easy to navigate as well!
-
Within 1 week of your feedback call, you’ll receive your complete sitemap and search plan:
• Website sitemap plan in an easy-to-understand visual format.
• Keyword mapping plan, including page titles & meta descriptions.
• URL mapping doc to ensure there are no broken links when the new sitemap goes live.
• Google Business profile audit + optimization recommendations.
From there you can either implement all of the above with your copywriter and web design team or hire Pixality to build your new website. If proceeding with a Pixality website project, you will have already completed the first phase and your project invoice will reflect that!
